On 27 July 2026, the Sentinel-2 satellite looked down on Maranhão, Brazil — part of the MATOPIBA region, one of the fastest-expanding agricultural frontiers on Earth — and caught a cluster of green centre-pivot circles overlapping rectangular fields in every shade of tan and rust, carved out of the native Cerrado savanna.

Third piece from Brazil in the catalogue — a companion to The Soy Frontier and The Fishbone Frontier, this time on savanna rather than rainforest, with the pivot circles adding a second geometry to the mismatched rectangular blocks.
