On 13 October 2025, Sentinel-2 traced a diagonal chain of green center-pivot circles — full discs and half-discs alike — strung one after another across the pale, eroded badland of the Coahuila desert near Cuatro Ciénegas. No river feeds this line; only wells reaching deep beneath one of northern Mexico's driest basins keep it green.
