On 12 July 2026, the Sentinel-2 satellite looked down on the Chatham-Kent shoreline of Lake Erie in southwestern Ontario. A patchwork of summer fields in green and rust-brown runs edge to edge with the water in a single clean diagonal — farmland meeting lake with no transition in between.
