On 14 August 2026, the Sentinel-2 satellite looked down on Bear Glacier, on Alaska's Aialik Peninsula in Kenai Fjords National Park. The glacier's crevassed, crumbling terminus calves directly into its own proglacial lagoon, scattering dozens of stranded icebergs across the turquoise water like flecks of confetti, before the lagoon empties out into Resurrection Bay's deep fjord water at the bottom of frame.
